Pera-beam Limited which commenced business as a subsidiary of UACN some fifty years ago was earlier known as Pan Electric Refrigeration and Air-conditioning whose cover business was the marketing of assorted household office equipment.
In 2003 some private investors, who are majority shareholders, along with some employees of UACN bought the company and put in place new management to reposition the company and put it on the path of sustainable growth and profitability. with a focus on airconditioning and allied business.

Hameed Onibudo
The school board was facing a $500,000 to $600,000 cost to replace the entire HVAC system due to difficulty in maintaining and repairing the existing system. Contractors claimed that the obsolescence of parts and aging systems allowed no other option. Classroom temperatures ranged from 64 to 78 degrees.
